Abstract
Bibliometric analysis of scientific production on construction and demolition waste. his study analyses the scientific production on construction and demolition waste (CDW) management, highlighting its growing relevance in the context of sustainability in the construction industry. The research identifies the key publications and authors contributing to the field, with an emphasis on high-impact journals such as Waste Management and Journal of Cleaner Production. The results show that the most active works address aggregate recycling and environmental assessment methodologies. The bibliometric analysis indicates a strong correlation between the number of citations and the relevance of the sources, suggesting that influential journals play a crucial role in the dissemination of knowledge. Although most publications focus on technical aspects, significant gaps remain in research on the socioeconomic impacts of waste management. It was found that technological advancements and effective public policies are essential for fostering innovation in the field. A holistic approach is recommended, linking waste management to broader sustainability objectives, promoting international collaborations, and considering regional priorities. This integration can enrich the debate on waste management and contribute to more sustainable practices in the global construction industry.
