Abstract
Natural and sustainable cosmetics: Developing a body cream containing coconut oil (Cocos nucifera) and Brazilian pink pepper (Schinus terebinthifolius) essential oil. Currently, there is an increase in demand for sustainable cosmetics containing active compounds of organic and natural origin. This work aimed to develop a body cream using coconut oil and essential oil of pink pepper as raw materials. In addition to the preparation of the cream, the physical-chemical characteristics (pH, density, and spreadability) were evaluated. The mean values of pH and density were 6.66 and 0.97 g/cm3, respectively. The cream samples showed good spreadability and pH levels close to the pH of the skin.
